About Denzell

M. Denzell Moton is a South Carolina native with a passion to serve. Denzell attended the College of Charleston where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Leadership, Responsibility, and Social Change. After graduating, Denzell went on to obtain his Master of Studies in Law from Wake Forest University School of Law. After leaving Wake, Denzell returned home and served as a middle grades instructor in Aiken County. Denzell ultimately accepted his calling into the legal profession and went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law, Samford University, in Birmingham, AL.

While in law school, Denzell was active in Cumberland’s trial advocacy program where he competed with the National Trial Team. As a member, his team won the 2017 National Civil Trial Competition, 2018 Southern Region American Association for Justice Competition, and 2018 Battle of the Experts competition. Denzell served as the Chief Justice of the Cumberland Honor Court and as a Judge Arbaham Caruthers Teaching Fellow. In 2018 Denzell was awarded the Scholar of Merit for Race and American Law.

Denzell currently lives in Atlanta, GA with his wife Anita.
