Amy Altman

Amy Altman has been a practicing attorney in Massachusetts for over 30 years. Amy received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University and her Juris Doctorate from Boston University School of Law.

Amy’s practice focuses primarily in the areas of personal injury, civil litigation, complex insurance coverage disputes, family formation (adoption & surrogacy), and reproductive law. Amy brings to the firm a wide range of skills and experience, and a track record of success.

Alexander J. Katsaras

Alexander J. Katsaras began his personal injury career at a specialized injury firm, whose focus was complex cases. These cases involved representing clients with catastrophic injuries with lifelong health implications. By beginning his practice in personal injury at the specialized firm, Alexander was taught as his foundation to handle more challenging cases with excellence.

Alexander joined Nussbaum Shunnarah Trial Attorneys in 2021, where he handles more sophisticated cases representing clients in civil actions with a wide variety of legal issues, including premise negligence, motor vehicle negligence, and cases of negligence involving dogs.

Alexander received his Bachelors in Sociology with a Criminal Justice Concentration at Suffolk University. Alexander received his Júris Doctorate from Suffolk University School of Law in 2018, where he went on to be admitted to the Massachusetts Bar the same year.

Alex Teschemacher

Alex graduated from New England Law|Boston in 2015 and returned home to New York to work in the Buffalo area for a year. Upon passing the Massachusetts bar in February 2016, he returned to Boston and has spent the last six years working largely in personal injury litigation.

Prior to joining Nussbaum Shunnarah Trial Attorneys in September 2021, Alex successfully tried more than a dozen cases to juries across the Commonwealth in District and Superior Courts, along with handling numerous court hearings and depositions in person, via teleconference, and via Zoom. Outside of the courtroom, Alex has also completed more than fifty arbitration hearings, including helping shift arbitrations to virtual platforms during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Chelsea Guay

Chelsey is a Civil Litigation Attorney at Altman Nussbaum Shunnarah. Chelsey earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Suffolk University, graduating with Cum Laude honors. Chelsey moved to San Diego to attend law school, where she earned her Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. Chelsey stayed in California after graduation, where she practiced for the first 7 years of her career.

Chelsey’s practice focuses on the handling of civil litigation matters. She has a wide range of experience handling civil matters including automobile accidents, bicycle accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, slip and fall accidents, dog bites, workplace injuries, and wrongful death claims.

Chelsey moved back to Boston after 10 years on the west coast, wanting to be closer to family and her beloved Boston sports teams. She’s excited to bring her experience to the Boston community. She’s also happy to be able to get to Fenway and the Garden more often now and have unlimited access to New England seafood again.
