Dawson Ogletree is a trial lawyer at Alexander Shunnarah who represents individuals injured by medical malpractice, nursing home neglect, and catastrophic accidents, as well as families seeking justice after the wrongful death of a loved one. He understands that clients come to him in the most difficult times of their lives, and he is committed to guiding them through the legal process with both compassion and relentless advocacy.
Before joining Alexander Shunnarah, Dawson spent years defending hospitals, physicians, and insurance companies in high-stakes malpractice and liability cases. That experience gives him a unique perspective on how the defense builds its case and allows him to anticipate and dismantle those strategies on behalf of his clients.
Dawson has tried complex cases to verdict, including a two-week healthcare liability and wrongful death jury trial in Montgomery County, Tennessee. He prepares every case as if it will be tried before a jury, ensuring his clients have the leverage and advocacy needed to pursue justice.
Dawson graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in History. He went on to earn his law degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University while completing his Master of Business Administration from the Brock School of Business. During college, Dawson also completed a summer internship in Washington, D.C. for former U.S. Senator Richard Shelby.
Outside the courtroom, Dawson enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, playing golf, and cheering for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
