Biography

Joey began his legal career interning with the Honorable Laura Petro at the Circuit Court of Jefferson County while pursuing his undergraduate studies.

Following his internship, he gained valuable experience working as an assistant, focusing on family law, bankruptcy, personal injury, and criminal cases. After earning his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Joey continued his education at Liberty University, where he obtained a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology, followed by a JD from the Birmingham School of Law.

Throughout his career, Joey has been mentored by many esteemed attorneys, significantly enriching his professional growth. In 2018, he joined Alexander Shunnarah Trial Attorneys as a paralegal, where he handled various personal injury cases, acquiring invaluable experience that now drives his dedication to serving clients.

Attorney Barlow is committed to fighting relentlessly for his clients, ensuring their rights are protected and justice is served. He now focuses his practice on personal injury law and civil litigation.
